Our Fabless Production Model

As a fabless semiconductor company, we design our components in-house and outsource the fabrication, assembly, and test to specialized manufacturers across the globe. The supply chain management team oversees our fabless production process. They coordinate with our engineering operations teams, who manage process and package development, test program development, and quality, in alignment with our ISO 9001 certified quality management system. This manufacturing strategy allows us to focus on designing innovative components, while minimizing fixed costs and capital expenditures and giving us access to advanced manufacturing facilities. It also enables the company to develop and maintain long-term relationships with primary suppliers to source multiple leading-edge technologies.

Responsible Supply Chain

At Cirrus Logic, we believe an ethical and sustainable supply chain will help us build resilience to business, regulatory, and environmental risks. Upholding high standards for our supply chain and maintaining positive supplier relationships is expected to create lasting value for our stakeholders.

Cirrus Logic is an affiliate member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), a nonprofit coalition dedicated to corporate social responsibility in global supply chains. Our Supplier Code of Conduct, which was developed using inputs from both the RBA Code of Conduct and more stringent customer requirements, details standards related to labor, health and safety, environment, ethics, and management systems. We expect our suppliers to create working conditions that are safe and treat workers with respect and dignity while maintaining an environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing process. Various methods are then used to manage, measure and drive continuous improvement within these relationships, including quarterly reviews, scorecards, and annual audits. We require that all primary suppliers acknowledge their obligations to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct

We encourage our primary suppliers to expect the same standards of operation from their leading suppliers. Whenever possible, the company leverages the RBA tools and initiatives in practical ways to build a responsible supply chain. In addition to complying with the Supplier Code of Conduct, all foundries and assembly and test suppliers maintain ISO 14001 environmental management system certificates, demonstrating their commitment to high environmental standards and responsible management of related impacts.

Supporting Supplier Sustainability Efforts

Cirrus Logic engages with suppliers to better understand their existing ESG practices and ability to drive continuous improvement. This process includes assessing suppliers’ existing and potential risks using public disclosures and engagement questionnaires. Should we identify suppliers with higher environmental and social risks, we will collaborate in an effort to improve their long-term sustainability performance. We believe that providing this support will strengthen supplier relationships and may lead to improved business resilience. Longer term, these efforts will enable us to incorporate supplier sustainability performance into business decisions.

Supply Chain Ethics

Cirrus Logic is committed to the highest standards of product quality and business integrity in all relationships with its third-party suppliers. Cirrus Logic also commits to ensuring that working conditions throughout our supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that manufacturing processes are environmentally and socially responsible. We are committed to acting in an ethical manner, with integrity and transparency in all business dealings. We share our current Anti-Slavery Statement below, and you can also review our prior 2020, 2021 and 2022 statements.

Responsible Sourcing

Cirrus Logic collaborates closely with our supply chain partners to support responsible sourcing of materials. Each year, to be transparent, we leverage our membership in the Responsible Minerals Initiative to prepare a Conflict Minerals Report that summarizes our due diligence efforts. You can find our current Conflict Minerals Report.

Product Responsibility

Cirrus Logic is committed to prohibiting and restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in the design and manufacturing of our semiconductors. We conform to applicable regulatory requirements including EU RoHS and EU REACH compliance to minimize environmental impacts.
