110 dB, 192 kHz, 2-in, 8-out Multi-channel Codecs with S/PDIF Receiver

The CS42518 audio codec family provides two audio a/d (analog to digital) converters and eight digital/analog converters (DACs) Delta Sigma converters, as well as an integrated S/PDIF receiver. The CS42518/28 family’s integrated S/PDIF receiver supports up to eight inputs, clock recovery circuitry and format autodetection. The internal stereo A/D converter is capable of independent channel gain control for single-ended or differential analog inputs. All eight channels of D/A converter provide digital volume control and differential analog outputs. The CS42518 and CS42528 are ideal for audio systems requiring wide dynamic range, negligible distortion and low noise, such as audio/video receivers, DVD receivers and digital speakers.
