Advanced Closed-Loop Haptic Driver with Integrated Boost and Waveform Memory
The CS40L51/52/53 family introduces Cirrus Logic’s first haptic driver solution reliability qualified in accordance with the AEC-Q100 automotive standard.
Designed with a fully integrated architecture, the CS40L51/52/53 family combines a high-performance 15V Class D amplifier, boost converter, voltage and current monitoring ADCs, waveform memory, and the powerful Halo Core™ DSP. This advanced platform simplifies design for engineers while delivering real-time closed-loop control to maximize actuator response and expand frequency bandwidth for richer haptic effects.
At the core is a suite of proprietary algorithms that dynamically adjust actuator performance using real-time voltage and current data. This ensures precise, stable, and high-definition haptic feedback across varying environmental and mechanical conditions.
CS40L51 – Combines advanced Sensor-less Velocity Control (SVC), real-time audio to haptics synchronization (A2H), and active vibration compensation (AVC) for immersive, high-fidelity feedback.
CS40L52 – Features the advanced closed-loop control SVC that optimizes the system haptic performance in real-time by reducing response time, increasing frequency bandwidth and compensating for manufacturing tolerances and temperature variation.
CS40L53 – Features the Click Compensation algorithm to enable consistent haptic feedback across systems by adjusting haptic effects based on the actuator manufacturing characteristics.
These features make the CS40L51/52/53 family ideal for a wide range of automotive applications such as steering wheels, center consoles, interactive displays, seats, smart surfaces and more.
